One of the last musicians to work with Prince, MonoNeon, released an 11 track album entitled, "A Place Called Fantasy"… and it’s undeniably a freaking fantasy. This concept album brings you into MonoNeon’s uninhibited world of funk and avant-garde. The album is weird, Lo-Fi, funny, raunchy, minimalistic, lackadaisical, and introspective. Even with all the strange things that are happening throughout "A Place Called Fantasy", MonoNeon’s imagination and funky guitar and bass work can not be overlooked. Prince knew what was up when he started working with MonoNeon as his bassist; their time together was cut short because the Purple One left us too soon. But MonoNeon has been channeling Prince in his own way, in his own fantasy.

"A Place Called Fantasy" is one of those albums an artist puts out and doesn’t give a damn about what the reception may be, they just want you to hear it. The music on this album is like some kind of bizarre, carefree mixture of Frank Zappa, Prince, Curtis Mayfield, and Parliament/Funkadelic.
